We do not anticipate a problem with your home, and we have a very regimented process to ensure your home's quality. However if something unforeseen does arise here is what to do in an emergency warranty situation: We recognize 3 areas to be emergency situations
During your Primary Walk you will be provided with contact information for these 3 subcontractors for your home. Should any of the above instances occur after business hours or on week-ends, you are to call the appropriate subcontractor for emergency service. Please provide them with your plat name, your lot number, address and phone number. Should you need to leave a message, please state the nature of your problem. These emergency subcontractors are committed to providing emergency service should the need arise. Please send an e-mail to our Warranty department notifying them of your call and the nature of the problem so it can be followed up on.
We assign to the homeowner any warranties issued by the manufacturer covering appliances and equipment sold and installed in your home. This is your sole and exclusive warranty for all appliances and equipment installed in your home.
Copies of all manufacturers' warranties have been made available at the sales office. You will be given your manufacturers warranties during the Primary Walk-Thru.
Following is a partial list of manufacturers' items not covered by the HBW Warranty or Westcott Warranty Services, LLC:
We warrant your home for the first year after the close of escrow. After this period we have purchased a warranty for you that will cover years 2-10 through the 2-10 Home Warranty Corporation. You will be provided a copy of this warranty at the time of your Primary Walk. Should you sell your home during this 10-year period the warranty stays with the home; a valuable sales tool for you.
During the first year in your home there may be times when you call us for service. We are happy to assist with any warrantable matter you have and will do our best to schedule any appointments at a time convenient for you during our business hours of Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Though we try to minimize intrusions, some matters may take more than one appointment; your understanding and flexibility during these times is appreciated.
